The H.U.M.A.I.N. Schools @UGA-ArcAM thematic school series is part of the ArchParc Academy of Mobility – Hypervision of Automated Transport (ArcAM-HvTA, Skills and Jobs of the Future, France 2030) and focuses on the issues, challenges, and human factors related to the automation of transportation and the future professions associated with it.

In the context of monitoring a single autonomous vehicle (both on-board and remotely) and monitoring multiple autonomous vehicles (hypervision).
 

Join us for an immersive and exciting week of training focused on autonomous mobility, and become a key player in shaping the technologies of tomorrow!


The objectives of the first thematic school will be:


(1) Understanding the issues and challenges related to autonomous mobility
(2) Gaining an in-depth understanding of the impact of automation on human cognitive processes and its characterization
(3) Identifying issues related to manual override and exploring solutions designed to improve the efficiency of the human-automated systems interaction

The school will combine lectures by numerous experts in the field from both research and the sector’s socio-economic sphere, as well as visits and hands-on workshops exploring the human factors issues raised during the school on autonomous mobility. The school’s program is available HERE.

Target audience

A school open primarily to students from Master's 1 and 2 & secondarily (subject to availability) to doctoral students from the fields of cognitive science, psychology, cognitive neuroscience, cognitive ergonomics, mathematics and computer science applied to the humanities and social sciences, engineering, or any other relevant disciplines related to the school’s focus, enrolled atUniversité Grenoble Alpes at other institutions of higher education in France and abroad.

When and where? 
June 22–26, 2026 within the business park ArchParc, located in Archamps, near Geneva.
 

Costs
Free training week —training, accommodation, and meal costs are fully covered by the H3S Faculty, UGA, with support from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region. For participants traveling from Grenoble, free transportation will also be provided for the round trip.
