SOS students

What is SOS Students?

This is the IT assistance service dedicated to students atUniversité Grenoble Alpes.
Some fifteen students are recruited each year to guide you in the use of the digital tools offered by the university.
They will help you to:
  • retrieve your login and password;
  • access your Digiposte safe;
  • connect to campus wifi, Eduroam or VPN;
  • use "My Web File" (to change your personal email address, telephone number or download your school certificate, etc.);
  • use the "LEO" student intranet (to change your forwarding email, modify your consents, access UGA tools, etc.);
  • etc.
Don't hesitate to ask!

What are university identifiers?

Your login consists of your name or the beginning of your name, plus the first letter of your first name. This may vary depending on the number of homonyms you have at the school) and a password. They are linked to your university computer account.

What are identifiers for?

Your login details give you access to all the university's digital and IT services, such as :
  • access to your Zimbra student messaging system;
  • access to LEO, the student intranet;
  • access to your schedules ;
  • access to educational platforms ;
  • connection to computers in self-service or teaching rooms;
  • topping up your print account ;
  • etc.

How to get your login details

You must first complete your administrative registration for your computer account to be automatically created.
If your personal email address has been entered correctly, you will receive, within 48 to 72 hours following your administrative registrationan email inviting you to click on a link (Copass password safe), allowing you to retrieve your login, your university email address and create your password (following the instructions provided).

I've lost my login details

Without your login and password, you can't access all the university's IT and digital services. Here's what to do if you haven't got them yet, or if you've lost them.
Simply go to LEO, the student intranet, and click on the "Forgot your password?" link on the authentication page. This link will take you to an automated procedure for recovering your identifiers from Copass password safe.
If the online recovery procedure doesn't work, contact SOS Students (contact details in right-hand column).
